The Atlanta Science Festival is here all week. This Saturday, March 29, 2014 there will be a free Exploration Expo. This interactive event will allow science lovers big and small to meet scientists, touch a brain, grow bacteria, crawl into an inflatable planetarium, tour GSU’s science bus, play with robots, and more. There will be over 80 interactive activities. If your child is a K-12 student they can win more than $400 for their science teacher by entering the drawing in The Welcome Tent. Science teachers-the more of your students that enter the better your chances. The Exploration Expo is from 11-4 p.m. at Centennial Olympic Park ( If inclement weather-Ga World Congress Center will be the venue). Turner Field is celebrating the 40th anniversary of Hank Aaron’s 715th home run. In honor of this milestone a family of four can tour Turner Field for $40 in March using the code Family40. This means that you and your family can see everything from the broadcast booth to the dugout. If the team is out of town you can even see The Clubhouse. If you want to see all of the stops on the tour visit the website atlanta.braves.mlb.com. It appears that tickets can be only be purchased onsite. This is a great deal for Braves fans to see what happens behind the scenes.
Pirates and Princess Day at the Atlanta Aquarium is back! This exciting event allows kids under the age of 12 to get in FREE if they are dressed in costume. Of course they must bring a paying adult too. There will be special events starting at 10, and Radio Disney will sponsor a dance party at 12.
